30 Days Out: The Story of How I Got Here

Part IV, The Launch

Well. Here we are. The finale.

When we left off, I'd just told my parents to move the RV down to Florida. I had my remote job, my dog, and a gut feeling that home was waiting for me on the east coast.

So let me take you the rest of the way.

Coming home.

I got back to Florida and moved into my RV. Just me and my dog, working from home, finally back in a place that actually felt like home.

It was a little lonely at first, I won't lie. I loved working from home, but I started to really miss the social part of life. So I started thinking about picking up a second job. Not because I had to this time, but honestly because I was bored and craving connection.

I knew I wanted this one to be fun, not draining. So fitness felt like the obvious lane. And looking back, this was so clearly a God thing, because I hopped on Indeed, started applying, and almost immediately got a call back from a place called Regymen.

I'd never even heard of them. They needed a front desk girl. I went in, interviewed, got it, and just like that I was a two job girlie again. But this time there was no 3:30am wake up and no brutal commute, so it actually worked for my life.

And then everything quietly started to shift.

I loved the Regymen team. The members, the energy, all of it. I worked my way up to kind of an assistant manager role, and eventually they started talking to me about coaching there.

Now, getting my CPT had been sitting in the back of my mind for a while. I just hadn't pulled the trigger. So I finally decided, okay, let's do it. I went with NASM because it's one of the most accredited certs out there, even though I knew it was also one of the hardest.

So somehow, in between two jobs, I was suddenly studying to become a personal trainer.

And here's the thing. The more I worked at Regymen, the more I trained, the more results I saw in myself, the more excited the whole journey made me. I passed my CPT and started coaching group classes.

I had so much fun and I'm so thankful for that experience. But I also realized pretty fast that group fitness just wasn't for me. Coming from a CrossFit background, form is everything to me. Keeping people safe and minimizing injury risk matters more than anything, and in a big group setting it's really hard to give that kind of attention. So my fire for it started to fade. Not the team, just that style of coaching.

The move that changed the trajectory.

Right around then, snowbird season hit. If you're a Floridian you already know. They roll in, take up all the real estate, RV spots included, and disappear four or five months later. My six month lease was up and I needed a new lot, so I found one up in Dunedin and took it.

After the move, I was still driving 30 minutes to my old bodybuilding gym just because it was familiar. But every single day I'd pass another gym on the way. Eventually I decided the drive wasn't worth it and just joined the closer one. I also stepped away from Regymen around this time, partly because the commute stopped making sense, and partly because I knew deep down I was way more passionate about one on one training than anything else.

I started at that new gym at the front desk, and eventually became a personal trainer.

And then the clients started rolling in. I was thankful, and also completely shocked and scared. This thing I'd been quietly building toward was actually happening.

Then I met one of the most important people in my whole story.

His name is Paul.

At the time, Paul and I were the only two trainers in the gym, so we became inseparable. He turned into more than a friend. He became a mentor, and eventually my bodybuilding coach.

I'd been toying with the idea of competing for ages but never actually committed. Paul is the reason I did. He made me fully believe in myself and what my body was capable of, so I finally said eff it, let's do it.

My first prep got completely derailed by Hurricane Helene, so I reversed out about halfway through and started fresh in June 2025. Then in October 2025, I stepped on stage for my first figure show.

Wow. What an experience. The changes I saw in my body were unreal, and that was the moment I was truly, fully hooked.

And then the Lord had plans I did not see coming.

In January, I got put in a position where I had to choose between a relationship that had completely changed my life and a place. I chose the person. I'll choose the person who pours into me every single time.

At the time it felt like the end of my world. Turns out it was a breath of fresh air I didn't know I needed. Within three days I'd found a new studio, and the moment I walked in, I could finally breathe. That's when I realized the old place had been draining me for longer than I ever let myself admit. I'd just gotten so used to the weight of it that I forgot it wasn't supposed to feel that heavy.

And remember, I was still doing my work from home job through all of this. Well, right around then we found out our contract would be ending in June. Once again, I was devastated and opportunistic at the exact same time.

Because by now I could see the pattern. The Lord was slowly pushing me out of all the things that no longer served me, one door at a time. The degree path. Powerlifting. California. The hard goodbye in January. The job ending in June.

For years I read those as things falling apart. They were never falling apart. They were clearing the way.

So here I am. Seven days out.

New gym. New chapter. New era. Same me.

Ten years ago I was a girl at the YMCA doing the same 30 minutes of the same stuff with no clue what I was doing. The only thing I had going for me was that I kept showing up. And somehow that one little habit, that refusal to quit, carried me all the way here.

I've worked two jobs since the day I moved to California. And in exactly one week, for the first time in years, I get to pour everything into just one thing. This time, it's fully mine.

July 1, 2026. The day I officially go full time. Welcome to EmBrazFit 2.0.

But this part isn't really about me anymore.

For four weeks I've told you my story. The redirections, the closed doors, the long way around. And the whole point of building this thing is so I can help you write yours.

Going full time means I finally have the space to coach the way I've always wanted to. One on one. Sustainable. Real. Built around your life, not some quick fix that falls apart in three weeks.

So here's what you need to know.

In one week, on July 1st, my coaching doors fully open. And to celebrate the start of this whole new era, I'm doing something for the very first people who step in with me, something I'm only doing once. For 4 days only, July 1st through the 4th, I'm opening a founding client offer. Limited spots, limited window, gone after the 4th.

If you've been wanting to get started with me, do not let this one pass because you won't get a deal like this again. Get on the waitlist now so you're the first to know and the first through the door the second it opens. Join the waitlist below!

One week. Let's go change your life. 🤍

This is the finale of a 4 part series. If you're just finding it, Parts I through III are on the blog.
